Homecomings, written with career-long friend and (later) fellow Headmaster Kevin Riley, was performed in 1986. Its setting - a bar/club in 1918 – is a microcosm of the changed England to which young men were returning from the Great War. It ends in tragedy and loss, of course, with some powerful scenes and tunes along the way. Here are a couple of songs, including the closing scene.
